The King!! Long live the King.
Our eyes are a direct link to our minds. We process information and react faster to visual stimuli than to any other form of input. Moving pictures attracts and entertains us as the world seems to stop and we are totally involved with the pleasing visual stimuli. Add sound and we are transported to another world far from the cares of this world if only for a little while. We all look for our choice opportunities to escape, a chance to be lifted up to a higher level. Don’t believe me just take a good look around you. What do you see? Everyone is in a different world caught up in a movie, a show, a video game, their smart phone. They are all engaged with their eyes. People are consuming video at an incredible rate.
Hollywood was built on our love to be visually stimulated. Movies took our minds off the reality of a depression, and two world wars. People lived in a better world thru cinema. The actors and actresses became part of our collective consciousness of good and evil. A whole other reality was created for us from the machine that is Hollywood.
Technology which gained much of its momentum from mass production naval and military developments brought us the Radio soon yielded to the television bringing visual communication such as news into our homes mixed in an addicting blend of shows, Hollywood movies, and advertisements.
The road of our recent past history and military development has brought us the Internet. In the beginning the Internet could only support text such as email and Bulletin Boards.
More digital information has to flow to support graphics than it does to support text and a wider path for the information is needed to travel on. The path is referred to as bandwidth. With the increase of bandwidth the Bulletin Boards evolved into the Forums.
Graphics and text were now used online and the personal computer became the modern day Pandora’s Box thanks to Microsoft, Apple, Atari, Commodore, Oracle, AOL, Netscape and the like.
To achieve greater bandwidth new modems routers and DSL were developed. In time Satellite and Cable were developed to provide even higher bandwidths. Fiber Optics carries digital information as a light pulse and is used where massive bandwidth is required. The internet has become our collective Hub our place to gather and share information, and ourselves with the tools of text, graphics, pictures, voice, sound, music, video and now HD video.
Now all of our technologies are banding together on the Internet for example the smart phone, smart television.
The Internet has created a new economy a growing economy. This economy is created by the Sales and Marketing of Physical and Digital Products and Services.
The vehicle which is responsible for the vast majority of internet business is Video Marketing. Video Marketing is King. Long live the King.
